100% spellers

This week, our spelling test was a little more challenging because the children were asked to write a dictated sentence that included their spelling word.

For example: I hurt my knee today in the playground.

When you are practising your spellings at home, ask your parents/carers to read a whole sentence out for you to write.

Well done to all of the most improved spellers and a special congratulations to Hannia, Iman, Marley and Aiden who were all 100% spellers.

Achievement Awards

Aaron and Konagh were chosen for our achievement assembly today. Konagh was chosen for the effort that he puts into his work and Aaron was chosen for the super story that he wrote in English. Well done boys!

Achievements

This week Sam and Ismaeel were selected for achievement assembly for their number bond work. Alisha and Hannia also received a special note home to inform their parents that they have been awarded a pen license. Keep up the super work 2.1!

Road Safety

This week we have been learning about road safety in our PSHEE lessons. We went on a walk around the local area to look at how we can keep safe on the roads.

We found some special signs outside of school that warn drivers to slow down. We also practised crossing the road safely by using the zebra and pelican crossing.

Back at school we completed some follow up work on road safety. The children explained how to use special types of crossings and also created road safety posters.
