The Coventry Transport Museum

We had a great day at the Museum on Monday. We learned all about transport in the past and how cars it has changed over time. The day started off with a workshop which taught us all about Victorian bicycles and how they changed during the period. We then spent the rest of the morning looking around the museum to identify different vehicles from specific periods. After lunch, we visited the Land Speed Record exhibition. We looked at cars that have travelled faster than the sound of speed! We even got to experience what it would be like to drive in one of these cars when we went on the simulator. Keep visiting the blog to view some of our follow up work.

World Book Day

What a busy day at The Oval! We dressed up as our favourite book characters to celebrate World Book Day.

The day started off with a visit from Pinocchio. The children asked some fantastic questions to find out why Pinocchio chose to lie to his father.

Pinocchio very kindly agreed to be hot seated by the children.

We then completed book swaps, shared our favourite books and created new book covers. Once again, the children out did themselves. It was fantastic to meet so many different characters.

World Maths Day

Yesterday was World Maths day. We were very impressed with the effort that the children put into creating their maths outfits. 2.1 had a great day playing their favorite maths games and creating symmetrical Mothers Day cards.
